ABRSM Speedshifter Lite 2.3.2

Designed for musicians, Speedshifter Lite is a demo version of Speedshifter, a practice tool that allows you to modify the speed of any audio track without changing the pitch. Particularly useful for musical practice at slower tempos with recorded accompaniments, this tool was developed by ABRSM, the exam board of the Royal Schools of Music. It can be utilized with any compatible track in your music library to assist in learning new pieces.

This free lite version provides all the functionalities of Speedshifter; however, playback stops after 60 seconds and needs to be restarted. It serves well for working on brief musical passages or for testing out Speedshifter before obtaining the full version.

Additional capabilities of Speedshifter Lite include:

• Listening attentively to complex pieces being learned at a slower pace
• Focusing on specific sections through the loop function
• Transposing tracks up or down in semitones to align with preferred keys or ranges
• Setting a reference tempo (BPM) by tapping in time with a track
• Automatically storing tapped BPM and loop points (registration required)
• Seamlessly syncing BPM and loop settings across devices once the free desktop version is downloaded (www.abrsm.org/speedshifter)
• Sounding a tuning note by simply shaking the device for an A

Important Information:

• Speedshifter Lite supports playback of MP3, M4A, AIFF, and WAV files directly stored in your device's music library. It is not compatible with files streamed via services like Apple Music or Spotify or those stored online in iTunes Match.
• Speedshifter Lite enables repeated playback of any point within a track for up to 60 seconds. This version is a free demonstration of Speedshifter. The complete version of Speedshifter removes this restriction on playback time.
